At Home

We sit all day at our desks at work and then we come home to relax in front of the television. We play video games, watch on demand entertainment, browse the internet on our devices and read books - all sitting down. Whilst all are entertaining and enjoyable ways to relax, these activities do nothing to help improve our activity levels.

Our sedentary behavior is a danger to our health and is linked to a whole range of mental and physical health problems such as:

  • Cancer of the lungs, colon and uterus
  • Heart disease         
  • Diabetes
  • Weight gain through poor digestion
  • Muscle atrophy of legs and glutes
  • Hip joint and spinal problems
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Blood clots
  • Varicose veins
